Me and my sister were here last night to see one of our favorite bands, Jungle. It was a popular concert, and crowded, but the process of finding our seats was very smooth. It reminded me of the airport. The staff was also friendly and helpful. The food/drink choices are many, and the prices decent. We bought cocktails and popcorn to enjoy during the show. It was great. Unfortunately, however, probably the most important aspect of going to a concert was pretty bad: the sound quality! It was very difficult to hear what the singers were saying. I thought my ears were playing tricks on me, but my sister started to complain about it too. We looked it up and discovered that we were not going deaf, and that the beautiful curved roof is one of the major reasons for the poor sound. Never the less, you should go.
I had a great experience at Barclays Center overall. The venue is clean, modern, and well organized. It was surprisingly easy to find my section, and whenever I needed help, the staff were friendly and pointed me in the right direction. The seating was comfortable, and no matter where you sit, the large screens make it easy to follow the show. The audio system was also excellent—the sound was clear and loud without being overwhelming, which really added to the overall experience. My only real complaint is the concession prices. I paid around $15 for a pretzel and a Red Bull, which definitely felt overpriced, even by arena standards. If you’re planning to grab food or drinks, be prepared to spend a bit more than you might expect. Aside from that, everything else was great. Between the helpful staff, good seating, easy navigation, and excellent sound quality, Barclays Center is a fantastic venue for concerts and events. I’d definitely come back for another show.
